Joel Dommett welcomes 18 castaways to the Dominican Republic, to the ultimate physical and psychological competition show. Divided into two rival tribes, they live on remote beaches, build their own shelters, face the elements and battle against each other in epic challenges for reward or immunity. The two tribes are immediately pitted against each other in their first reward challenge - a brutally exhausting clash to retrieve basic supplies. Divisions begin to form, and personalities are put to the test as the losing tribe struggles to deal with the harsh environment. The groups also compete in their first immunity challenge, an intense feat of endurance. For the losing tribe, it means a sunset showdown at tribal council, where they must vote off one of their own. 澳大利亚版真人秀节目“幸存者” 第三季 　　本季参加的选手根据其职业以及生涯中取得的成就分为两队：Champions v Contenders。Champions(冠军队)的选手为由各职业领域内（体育界、娱乐圈）的公众人物组成，包括多个体育世界冠军，以及Survivor USA历史上大名鼎鼎的villian--Russell。Contenders（挑战者队）的选手则为来自澳大利亚的素人参赛选手。 　　本期节目与上两季的拍摄地不同，选在了斐济卡考德罗韦省的萨武萨武（Savusavu, Fiji），参赛选手24人，持续50天，其余赛制参照往季。
